Objectives The general objectives of the degree have a primarily professional orientation, as students specialise in an area of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) at the same time as they are trained in scientific aspects and general concepts, enabling graduates to enter the workforce in a company or institution and to continue academic and professional training throughout their lives.
General objectives
  • To create, develop and manage projects to design, devise, implement and use telecommunications networks, services and applications.
  • To acquire the scientific and technological training in relation to electronic materials and components required for professional activity in designing and developing electronic systems in the telecommunications sector.
  • To undertake the specification, simulation, design, development, diagnosis, documentation and maintenance of circuits, systems and products with an application in the field of computer science and telecommunications.
  • To design digital systems by using technologies based on programmable logic, integrated circuits with a specific application and microprocessors.
  • To create the analogical and digital hardware required to capture, adapt, generate, process and digitalise signals with a variety of characteristics.
  • To design applications for electronic control and measuring systems.
  • To define safety, quality and reliability specifications for electronic products. To describe tests and trials in accordance with applicable standards.
  • To appropriately integrate hardware and software solutions in order to achieve maximum efficiency in the creation of electronic systems.
