Objectives

To train professionals capable of:

  • Understanding, developing and applying science and technology to the field of crop and livestock farms, both extensive and intensive, and to the field of gardening and landscaping, aiming for the best social, economic and ecological conditions, with respect for the environment.
  • Acting in the field of plant production through the knowledge, analysis and application of the bases and techniques of plant production that are part of the planning, advising and technical direction of crop farms and nurseries, with economic criteria and respect for the environment.
  • Acting in the field of animal production through the knowledge, analysis and application of the bases and techniques of animal production that are part of the planning, advising and technical direction of livestock farms, with economic criteria and respect for the environment.
  • Designing, planning, restoring, maintaining and conserving parks, gardens, green areas and natural areas and working in the production techniques of ornamental species, with economic and social criteria and respect for the environment.
  • Devising, drawing up, directing and carrying out projects for constructions, infrastructure, equipment and facilities in the field of crop and livestock farms, parks, gardens, natural areas, green areas and sites undergoing landscape recovery, and carrying out functions of consultancy, advising and technical studies in these fields.
Specialisation The degree includes two specialisations: Crop and Livestock Farms and Horticulture, Gardening and Landscaping.
