In this communication we present an analytical study of the correlations between adjacent nodes in heterogeneous evolving networks. We consider a class of network models extending the Barabási-Albert model where node states induce affinities in their interactions and derive a mean-field solution of the second-order density function of degrees and states, which evidences the existence of nontrivial correlations between the degrees of adjacent nodes. | |
