The deployment of telecommunication systems in oil and gas environments demands a complex engineering process for its achievement. These industrial environments enforce several constraints when planning and dimensioning these systems, more restrictive than the ones applied to regular deployments in any other environment. To make this engineering process lighter, a software tool for the planning and dimensioning of critical cable or wireless communication systems has been developed. It also allows for the es associated deployment economic costs. The tool presented in this paper provides an easy, reliable and accurate methodology to be applied in the planning and dimensioning process of wireless and cabled telecommunication systems estimation of the associated deployment economic costs. | |
