The CASSIOPEIA Research Project focuses on the problem of the assessment of the ATM performance. This will be achieved through the implementation of a new theoretical framework and of a demonstrative software, both of them based on techniques described by Complexity Science. Expected benefits include the construction of a holistic performance framework, able to capture the perspective of the different ATM stakeholders, the definition of performance indicators, aggregating information from lower levels to obtain high-level KPIs, and the understanding of cause-effect relationships between performance drivers and performance indicators at different scales.
