This Thesis aims to evaluate the agronomic and physiologic performance of a vertical shoot positioned vineyard (Vitis vinifera L.) grown under different row orientations. Row orientation is a key factor affecting radiation interception. It influences light and thermal plant microclimate, water regime, photosynthesis, vine growth and productivity. Most of the vineyards in Spain are trained in vertical systems very homogeneous and very similar one another regarding solar energy interception (North?South orientated). It is necessary an in depth study on row orientation as a key factor on canopy management. | |
