clThedetailedstudyofthedeteriorationsufferedbythematerialsofthecomponentsofanuclearfacility,inparticularthoseformingpartofthereactorcore,isatopicofgreatinterestwhichimportancederivesinlargetechnologicalandeconomicimplications.Sincechangesintheatomic-structuralpropertiesofrelevantcomponentsposearisktothesmoothoperationwithclearconsequencesforsecurityandlifeoftheplant,controllingthesefactorsisessentialinanydevelopmentofengineeringdesignandimplementation.Inrecenttimes,tungstenhasbeenproposedasastructuralmaterialbasedonitsgoodresistancetoradiation,butstillneedstobedoneanextensivestudyontheinfluenceoftemperatureonthebehaviorofthismaterialunderradiationdamage.Thisworkaimstocontributeinthisregard.MolecularDynamics(MD)simulationswerecarriedouttodeterminetheinfluenceoftemperaturefluctuationsonradiationdamageproductionandevolutioninTungsten.Wehaveparticularlyfocusedourstudyinthedynamicsofdefectcreation,recombination,anddiffusionproperties.PKAenergiesweresampledinarangefrom5to50KeV.Threedifferenttemperaturescenarioswereanalyzed,fromverylowtemperatures(0-200K),uptohightemperatureconditions(300-500K).Westudiedthecreationofdefects,vacanciesandinterstitials,recombinationrates,diffusionproperties,clusterformation,theirsizeandevolution.SimulationswereperformedusingLammpsandtheZhouEAMpotentialforW.2.
