Current work presents the results of the innovative education experience carried out on the subject ?transport Engineering? of the Academic Plan of the Bachelor in Industrial Engineering during 2010- 2011 course. It has been planned a methodological change of the teaching process, first of all, it has been developed an auto-study guide, with the specific educative objectives of each learning unit of the thematic blocs of the chosen chapter of the subject. At mentioned guide, and for each objective, it has been specified the required knowledge and the resources to acquire them. It have been designed problems related with the objectives and self-evaluation tests for the students. The whole process has been followed by control sheets filled up by the students and the data have been statistically analyzed to measure the level of objective compliance and time of study required or dedicated. Moreover, the implementation of a continuous evaluation system, have permitted the comparison of the results of this experience with those achieved by the students of the previous course year. This comparison indicates that the elements designed for this experience have been useful for the students, achieving an average improvement of the academic performances | |
