Cognitive Network (CN) is an emerging technology with a vast amount of potential applications. Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), a wide-spread technology in many fields, have a recent challenge: the efficient use of the radio spectrum. By integrating the main features of Cognitive Networks, radio spectrum state and radio parameters adaptation, we can solve the radio spectrum co-existence in WSN, thus creating a new concept, Cognitive Wireless Sensor Networks (CWSN). In the early state of the development, simulators play an important role. Therefore, in this work we propose a complete CWSN simulator based on Castalia which enables easy and intuitive development of cognitive scenarios. | |
