Abstract
Nowadays, most of the forest management problems require the integration of multiple criteria with the simultaneous consideration of the points of view of several stakeholders, with different perceptions towards the criteria previously defined. Within this theoretical orientation, in this paper a recent method to aggregate individual preferences, when they are shown through ¿pairwise¿ comparisons, is adapted and applied to elicit social weights within the context of a forest management problem. The method is applied to the public forests ¿Matarrucha¿ and ¿El Monte¿, situated in the northeast of Spain
