This paper is focused on the influence of total water vapor content V and total liquid water content L on the propagation of radiowaves at 100 and 300 GHz, with the perspective of carrying out radiometric measurements to estimate total attenuation at both frequencies under non-scattering scenarios. On the basis of well-accepted absorption models and using vertical meteorological profiles from year 2009 as input data, attenuation due to atmospheric gases and clouds is computed. The results obtained are related with the parameters V and L, both obtained by integration procedures. Finally, based on the results obtained, some empirical relationships are proposed as a first approach to study attenuation under non-scattering scenarios at the frequencies of interest. | |
