In the book we present results of laboratory experiments on imitating road network formation in 14 geographical regions and countries, simulate colonisation of the world and uncover basic principles of the slime mould road building rules. The book is self consistent and does not require any specialist knowledge. It is aimed at a wide audience of computer scientists, engineers, biologists, physicists, chemists and anyone interested in remarkable abilities of the slime mould.
