A compact array of monopoles with a slotted ground plane is analyzed for being used in 2 × 2 MIMO systems. Compact arrays usually suffer from high coupling which degrades significantly MIMO benefits [3]. Through a matching network, main drawbacks can be mitigated, although it tends to provide a low bandwidth. The studied design is an array of two ?0/4 monopoles, separated by a distance of 0.1?0 and a slot in the ground plane.
