The default mode network (DMN) was defined by Raichle et al. (2001) to refer to the task negative network, as the function of all its brain regions is suspended during any task or goal directed brain activity. It has received growing attention since it has been found that is disrupted in neurological and psychiatric disorders such autism, schizophrenia and Alzheimer disease. | |
