| Crop wild relatives (CWR) require similar strategies to those used in the in situ conservation of threatened wild species. One of these strategies involves species conservation in protected areas. The genetic reserve site selection for CWR, representativeness on in situ conservation, ecogeographic land characterization, process in selecting genetic reserves for CWR, and evaluation of the selected genetic reserves are discussed. | |
