The motivation for this development is the realisation that modern universities are moving beyond their traditional teaching / research (and in the US extension) agenda into driving innovation and job creation for society. As a modern engineering discipline with strong roots in the food chain, bio-based economy, health and environment, graduates of Biosystems Engineering programmes should have a keen understanding of how to take the ideas that emerge while at university, and realise their potential for job creation. | |
