This study allows to examine the influence of the mass of the wall on the convective transfer inside a 2D parallelogram-shape enclosure. The local and mean Nusselt numbers are determined for each configuration as well as the maximum temperatures. A comparison with the case of a wall of negligible thickness is carried out showing that the combined conduction-convection-heat transfer is significant and cannot be neglected. This result is important for the design of engineering devices. | |
