Abstract
Service creation and customization are expensive tasks that require specialized people. In many cases these simple services could be implemented by users without programming skills. In this paper, a framework for creating and adapting services in a drug traceability environment is presented. This framework is able to manage and run services in a hospital pharmacy department as it accesses to the traceability event and alert notification systems. The authors carried out a case study where people with varied experience in technology used the framework for creating and adapting services. This study shows that the framework proposed is very useful for creating services and especially for adapting them and also the quality of services created and adapted are quite high. It is also analyzed the experience necessary by the prosumer for creating and adapting services and how it affects to the services quality.
