Mutualism is the interaction between two species that results advantageous for both. Mutualistic communities have an internal structure of bipartite network, with a property called nestedness that makes them quite resilient. Research has focused on stability to explain the reasons of this effect but dynamics is less well understood. Theoretical models are modifications of the classical logistic equation with additional terms to take into account interspecies interactions, but they are not fully satisfactory for simulation under all circumstances. We have developed a model of mutualism based on the aggregation of benefit for each species in its equivalent growth rate. | |
