In this paper, the gain of using intercell interference coordination techniques (ICIC) in massive HeNB deployments is evaluated, using an approach to model the effect of ICIC techniques based on an evolutionary algorithm. The evolutionary algorithm proposed selects the subbands assigned to each HeNB to minimize interference, using for that purpose HeNB measurements to estimate the co-tier interference. This ICIC scheme is implemented as a part of a LTE system level simulator, developed to assess the performance of both massive HeNB selfdeployments and multiHeNB enterprise deployments | |
