We propose a new focusing system based on a separable achromatic doublet which gives the possibility to manipulate the carrier-envelope phase shift of the focused few-cycle laser pulse. According to the theoretical calculations the pulse broadening caused by the properly designed achromatic lens system is negligible, or it can be easily compensated, neither it introduces notable pulse distortion. The proposed focusing system allows to adjust the carrier-envelope phase shift in the focal region, which is relevant in several experiments based on light-matter interaction. | |
