Multijunction solar cells, used under concentrated light, have demonstrated to be the best candidates for the achievement of a cost-effective photovoltaic technology, capable of producing large-scale electricity at competitive prices [1]. Moreover, they are the current choice for powering in space applications. This is due to the high conversion efficiencies achievable with these solar cells. In fact, the highest solar cell efficiencies achieved in last decades correspond to multijunction solar cells. | |
