| The purpose of this position paper is to show the on-going effort to de- velop an integrated and pervasive operating system for the digital homes of the future. Several fields of these new smart homes will be described (mainly networks, interfaces and intelligence), giving examples of projects that are being undertaken in these areas, and new ideas that can help to put them all together. The paper focuses in the interoperability as a key factor for the development of the Home OS, and it makes special emphasis in the interaction between personal mobile robots and smart environments. | |
