| Nowadays, in Mexico software engineering education has two problems when satisfying software industry necessities: the quantity of young and skilled students and the quality of their formation. In this sense, it is necessary to improve education at the undergraduate level.We have identified five malfunctions in the current situation of software engineering education. The correction of these problems requires the design of a module-oriented curriculum, creation of networks with local industry, federal and state funding, and alternative educational paradigms for software engineering. This paper shows the strategy and federal programs established to modernize the software engineering curriculum. | |
