Lifelong learning programme, under Erasmus Multilateral Projects, is a cooperation and mobility programme in the field of higher education that aims to enhance the quality of European higher education. In 2013, it was proposed a Master Degree related to sustainable and ecological tourism. The promoter of this project, the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), has identified a clear lack of educational provision regarding Ecotourism, in both educational and non-educational settings. UPM has got an expertise in developing tailored e-learning programmes and their strengths rely on their ability to adapt ICT solutions to the particular needs of the educators by incorporating the latest developments in communication. UPM is a leader in environmental restoration and sustainability, as well as in ecological tourism. Sustainable and ecological tourism requires innovative techniques in teaching that was analysed and discussed in the following document. These techniques should be integrated among the project partners, which increase the difficulty of a homogeneous applying. Another complex matter is the environmental disparity in each area, which hinders the realization of general application documents in all the territories and which contents can be useful to all students. This work has been funded by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), as an Erasmus Multilateral Project through project number 539517-LLP-1-2013-1-ES-ERASMUS-EKA | |
