In the current context of costs reduction, investments in the environment have special meaning for the positive impact which generate. Any environmental performance has a cost, but no action has a much higher cost due to the value of the flows between the ecosystem and human life. These flows are reflected very little in market values, because is dealing with intangible values. In this paper we try to raise awareness among decision-makers about the importance of investing resources (human and financial) in the conservation and enhancement of ecosystems in general, with a particular focus on hydrological and forest restoration. | |
