The work presented is part of a larger task based on the study of environmental data relating to the vegetative response and grape composition depending on the type of soil on which the vineyard is developed. The use of vegetation indices from multispectral images facilitates a sustainable use of the vineyard, adjusting inputs to plant needs. The relationship between some vegetation indices [Index Normalized Difference Vegetation (NDVI), Improved Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index (MSAVI), Simple Ratio Index (SR) and the Modified Simple Ratio Index (MSR)] and the vigour or vine vegetative state is documented in several studies. From SPOT 5 satellite imagery type 2.5 m spatial resolution for the calculation of the indices mentioned in the above paragraph, the variability of the vegetative state of a vineyard can be compared. The present study highlights the variability of these vegetation indices (NDVI, MSAVI, SR, MSR) among several vineyards in D.O.Ca.Rioja for a period of three years (2005, 2010 and 2013). | |
