| The evaluation of material properties by means of NDT is not a new concept. Early experiences on wood materials were at 50`s. Use of NDT in Spain, beginning of 90`s using a portable ultrasonic equipment. Research works have mainly focused on the use of portable and commercial equipment, but existing results are not always comparable due to different factors effect. Standardized test procedures and adjustment factors should be defined, in order to homogenize results and exchange conclusions. | |
