Nowadays, it has shown a closely relationship between the technological progress and economic development. As an example, the prosperity of American Silicon Valley and other High-tech Development Zones show that the industry-academy cooperation becomes the most effective way to transfer the knowledge into the economy. There is a large amount of scientific achievements in the universities which could possibly be applied to enterprises? projects. This paper focuses on how to promote an effective cooperation between the industries and the universities. By implementing the ?incomplete-contract theory? , setting the basic hypothesis and building the quantitative formulas for benefit comparison; we compare the different cooperation modes, different ownerships of the scientific achievements, and different profit-sharing arrangements in industry-academy cooperation. Based on the proposed comparison methods, expected profit can be calculated and optimal cooperation mechanism can be selected under the different scenarios. Besides, a signaling-game model is built to analyze the relationship between different behavior and the corresponding game results for each participant. This research can be applied practically to reduce misunderstandings between different parties and promote the smooth progress in the cooperation between industries and academic institutions. The proposed model has important potential implications for the scientific and technological advancement and economic development. Besides the proposed model contributes to achieve a ?harmony? between teaching and research process, necessary in order to maintain a good functioning of the university system. Teaching process needs research to renovate teaching contents and focus them to a new objective useful for the society. | |
