We proposed a modified model to describe the first-order martensitic phase transformation in polycrystalline steels by introducing a direct coupling between eigenstrains of phase transformation, compositions and the grain orientations in the frame work of Lagrange mechanics. We demonstrate that the coupled fields along with its evolution, is inherently unified in the perspective of continuum mechanics. Based on the proposed model, we encode to represent the microstructure of polycrystalline cubic-tetragonal martensitic transformations and analyze the effects including inertia, damping, undercooling and external loading on the microstructure evolution, especially for the composition dependence of orientation relationship in the spirit of CALPHAD. | |
