Cognitive reserve associates the stability of brain capabilities facing aging or brain damage. The educational attainment highlights as one among several indicators who are able to increase such a cognitive process. Notwithstanding, it has been difficult to quantify in what extent the educational attainment can delay the consequences of brain aging. Functional brain networks and mathematical approaches, based on information theory, have been usually used to describe, in an independent manner, the topological and dynamics properties of brain cognitive processes. Nonetheless, in this study we propose a methodology which takes into account both, the structural and dynamical features of functional complex networks obtained from magnetoencephalography (MEG) patterns associated to cognitive reserve. | |
