Abstract

| The main objective of this project is the development of a platform capable of transforming the multimedia content in real time to the new adaptive streaming formats: HTTP Adaptive Streaming format (HLS) developed by Apple, Smooth Streaming format (MSS) released by Microsoft and the format defined by the international standard MPEG-DASH. This platform will be able to ingest a content at a specific format. It will make the necessary transformations of the original media content and its associated metadata file in real-time with the aim of providing a video service for a wide range of user?s devices in a Content Distribution Network (CDN). Therefore, the project TRANVIDEOADAP proposes an alternative solution for entertainment TV using an architecture based on the cloud. | |
