| Hundreds of millions of people worldwide are affected by neurological disorders. These include Alzheimer disease, Parkinson's disease or Autistics disorders among others. Neurological disorders represent a public health problem, with a extraordinary economic importance. Mainly, treatments consist in drug therapies and surgical interventions but complementary therapies are sought to manage symptoms since drugs or surgery are neither definitive nor long-term solution. We are exploring acoustical engineering as effective method in order to improve both diagnosis and symptomatology to complement current treatments, evaluating its influence with typical scales according to disorder and electroencephalography (EEG). | |
