Is a business plan competion for technology-­¿based start-­¿ups in the Raw Materials ¿eld. The project aims at designing the methodology, tools, training materials and international network of experts for organising the ¿rst Raw Materials Award competion across the KIC during the second half of 2016. The competion itself will be organized by the six CLCs, with coordination and support from the KIC headquarters. It will consist in collecting and screening a large number of innovative RM-­¿related business ideas from KIC partners and non-­¿partners across Europe, coaching a selected number of business idea holders into the preparation of a business plan, and selecting as laureates those business plans which can lead to the creation of start-­¿ups in early 2017 Budget is 300.000 EUR, 10 start-­¿ups are expected. The organisation of such a business plan competion, which will be repeated yearly, is expected to 1) boost the image of innovativeness associated to the Raw materials sector; 2) boost the interest of researchers to bring innovations to the market; 3) provide a structured process for transforming idea carriers into entrepreneurs ready to launch a solid start-­¿up.
