A moduli space is a geometric space which parametrizes all the posibilities of a classification problem, and whose topology is linked with some notion of closeness in the classification problem. But moduli spaces of interest in Mathematics and Physics can be non-smooth and/or non-compact algebraic varieties, so classical Hodge theory does not apply. We then use the theory of mixed Hodge structures of Deligne to compute the Hodge polynomials of certain moduli spaces. | |
