| The goal of this paper is to analyze the patterns of energy consumption, GDP share and CO2 emissions with accountability in China at the province level. The main reasons for the interest are that China is one of the world?s greatest contributors to pollution and the central government determines policy, whereas implementation is the responsibility of the provinces. Depending on the specific strategies adopted at province level, different patterns are observed. Learning the relationship between those patterns according to different indicators will help decision makers to establish new, updated policies. | |
