Cycling counts for about 14% of the modal split in the Spanish city of Vitoria-Gasteiz. This proportion has been increasing progressively since 2006, when the rate was only 3%. This important growing has been driven by the development of different policies, new infrastructures and regulations such as, for example, traffic calming measures. The present study aims to examine the longitudinal effects of these measures on four attitudinal dimensions, previously identified using confirmatory factor analysis (Lois, Moriano & Rondinella, 2015). Three hundred and thirty nine participants answered a questionnaire by telephone in three waves: April 2012, June 2013 and June 2014. The sample consisted of drivers, public transport users, pedestrian and cycle commuters. | |
