| The objective of this work is the diagnosis of the wood structure of the roof and undercover of an agroforestry building located in the municipality of Béjar (Salamanca), and propose measures of action. Each piece of the main structure is analyzed, damages of mechanical origin are identified and samples are taken to identify the wood species (oak and chestnut) and xylophagous agents (rotting, cerambycidae and anobiidae). By means of Non Destructive Techniques the damages are quantified and the physical and mechanical properties of the wood are estimated to define a resistant profile. An analysis of the current state is carried out to verify the model and to identify the causes of the observed breaks and to propose two solutions. One, considered an emergency to guarantee the conservation of the building, is based on the replacement of broken pieces and constructive measures. Another, to rehabilitate it and adapt it to a new use as rural housing, is based on the previous one, in the reinforcement of some parts of the structure and in a more developed calculation where the main unions are taken into account. | |
