Glass in the more than two thousand years that has been applied, is possibly the most controversial material at the time of its use. We approach it excessively in its various forms and applications or, on the contrary, make limited use of it in our jobs. The optical properties of glass, such as transmission, reflection, refraction and absorption of light, combined in a range of almost infinite variants and perceived by the subjective vision of the observer. This made it possible that the same material has served to embody disparate boundaries and sometimes with opposing approaches. [1]. As Mies Van Der Rohe wrote in an article for the German Association of Flat Glass Manufacturers, dated March 13th, 1933, without publishing: "What would be of concrete and steel without the sheet of glass?" [ 2] Glass is a material that in recent years has developed exponentially, becoming an aesthetically attractive element, which allows natural light to access the interior of enclosures, as well as being recyclable and economically profitable. Architectural constructions where light plays a role without energetic connotations, has played an important role throughout history. But today solar radiation is a source of energy savings, both by the reduction of electricity consumption in artificial lighting and by the economic savings of heat generation facilities, in addition to an improvement in human welfare. For all these reasons, the aim is to analyze the use of natural light as a function of the type of glass installed in each of the orientations of two scale models.
