One primary challenge in High Speed Trains (HST) is that mobile communications suffer from severe attenuation and high Doppler spread in Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A) scenarios. In this article, a novel two-hop relay architecture is presented by utilizing Mobile Relay Nodes (MRN) and millimeter wave (mmWave) bands at 60 GHz to forward the signal inside the train. A Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) channel is established between the Donor-eNB (DeNB) and the Users Equipment (UE) to enhance channel capacity. Finally, performance analysis is studied and discussed by means of a downlink-level simulator. | |
