| There are numerous studies about the recycling of plastics, especially in the domestic área, but this does not happen when research is limited to something as concrete as plastic cable waste. Every month about 100 Tons of disused cables arrive to each recycling of electrical cables companys. Approximately this corresponds to 50 tons of metal and 50 tons of plastic waste, which is incinerated in 90% in the best of the cases. In the approach of this thesis, the reuse of the plastic waste of cables, incorporated in a gypsum matrix, is prioritized, in order to get to elaborate more sustainable prefabricated panels that, even though they do not give a real value to the waste as such, they return them to the construction market. | |
