This paper presents an approach to model the choice of whether to adopt a CS service consistent in a completely electric fleet in the city of Madrid. A sample of 959 potential users is classified into two categories (1) users and (2) non users. A Structural Equation Model (SEM) is used to analyze the interdependencies of this choice with latent constructs like privacy concerns or community resilience, as well as with a set of user personal traits. Results show that younger, better-educated, tech savvy individuals with no private car and less privacy concerns are greater users of the service, and are more likely to adopt autonomous vehicle systems. The results provide relevant insight in the user adoption of these systems, and can be used to better predict the impact of these technologies in larger scale models | |
