Creativity is a core 21st century skill for students. In this article, we suggest and encourage to follow the model of Standord in Design Thinking. There are dozens or more variations of design thinking models. But having a model is valuable as it provides educators a guiding approach and tools to promote more and better ideas. As creativity is viewed as multidimensional, there are many ways to conceptualize it, including divergent and creative expert performance. For divergent think, students are asked to generate as many of their own solutions as possible in response to a domain-general task, and the responses are assessed for fluency, flexibility and originality. In contrast, creative expert performance is measured via expert judgments of performances within domains. We apply this methodology and measures in the following subjects: ?Organización Industrial?, ?Diseño de Máquinas, II? , and ? Bio-Inspired Machine Learning?. | |
