Versatile Video Coding (VVC) is called to be the successor of the current State-of-the-art video standard, HEVC. The target is to provide better compression ratios, therefore increasing the complexity of the algorithms and the computational power requirements. In this scenario, the challenge is the better handling of the parallelism. In this paper, a first approach to the migration of some of the new functionalities of VVC to different embedded platforms using OpenMP is performed. Results, obtained over three different platforms, show how OpenMP is a competitive solution regarding POSIX in most of the cases. | |
