The 1 aim of this work is to analyze the influence of the pressure losses of 2 a diffuser-augmented wind turbine (DAWT) on the extractable power. Multielement AQ1 3 diffuser geometries, generated with Salome and meshed with snappyHexMesh, are 4 studied numerically with OpenFOAM® to find a configuration of maximum area 5 expansion (reducing flow detachment), for different pressure losses at the actuator 6 disk. Different geometries are studied with a k? turbulence model. The influence 7 of the vanes inside the diffuser has also been analyzed.
