The definition and measurement of compromise consensus through different goal programming formulations has revealed as a powerful tool for the group decision- making discipline. In this paper a procedure for obtaining social cardinal consensus, through ¿pairwise¿ comparison matrices is proposed. The analytical procedure is based upon the minimisation of p-metric distance functions. Especial emphasis is put on a case study related with environmental modelling, where several criteria of economic and ecological nature are assessed by postgraduate students of the Forestry School of the Technical University of Madrid within a forest management exercise. Moreover, individual preferences are shown through matrices that do not verify some rational properties like reciprocity. | |
