| Though Sensitive Areas are a relevant issue in the transport policy debate, there is no scientific and no political agreement on a definition. There are a number of existing concepts but none of them is suitable for straightforward use in the present context at the EU level. So far, the underlying idea has rather been that there are some areas that require stronger protection from the negative impacts of transport than others. | |
