| The International Conference, “Science and Information Technologies for Sustainable Management of Aquatic Ecosystems”, a joint meeting of the 7th International Symposium on Ecohydraulics topics and the 8th International Conference on Hydroinformatics topics have been promoted and scientifically coordinated by the International Association for Hydraulic Engineering and Research (IAHR), the International Water Association (IWA), the International Association for Hydrological Sciences (IAHS), and the International Aquatic Modeling Group (IAMG). The Ecohydraulics conference series started in 1992 in Trondheim, Norway. The 6th one was held in Christchurch, New Zealand, in 2007. The conference is truly interdisciplinary and focuses on the development and application of linkages between physical processes and ecological functions in aquatic ecosystems. The Hydroinformatics conference series started in 1994 in Delft, The Netherlands and has been held biannually since then.
