| A new, complex and innovative research laboratory, CIAmI, is being developed by ITACA and LST-UPM in order to form a group focused on the research and development of the Ambient Intelligence and on the aspects related to the social inclusion, independent living of people with disabilities and the elderly, and all those application and services aimed at citizen. The purpose of CIAmI focuses on the creation of two laboratories distributed in two different but complementary environments. One of them will be placed in Valencia, the LIVING-LAB, and its fundamental function will be to develop and test the hardware, meanwhile the other one placed in Madrid, the SMART-HOUSES not only will realize the necessary accessible and usable interfaces of the AmI services but also the tests and continuous evaluations to be able to obtain the user experience of the developed applications. The coordinated work between the laboratories will allow a complete iterative enrichment process that will be a key issue in the success of the technological products or applications developed. | |
