Rural landscapes of Campo de Criptana (Spain) have been assessed by two groups of observers to analyze the influence of the level of studies in the assessment. These two groups consisted in 80 observers randomly selected with university studies and 80 observers without those studies. The assessment of the landscapes was performed by using surveys; each observer used a scale of five points (from 1 to 5) to give a punctuation to each of the 16 photos taken in the region. In this scale, 1 corresponded to a poor quality of the landscape and 5 to excellent quality. The average punctuations of the observers were considered variables with normal distributions of probability, with different means and same variances.
